Empowering women entrepreneurs: Interview with Yanire Brana, Executive Director at MET Community
Yanire Brana has more than eighteen years of international experience in marketing, training, leveraging information technology, and change management processes. Since 2007, she has dedicated most of her time to supporting women business leaders through mentoring, training, communications and networking activities. She previously worked for Accenture, Banco Popular, IDB, World Bank, and Booz Allen Hamilton. Yanire has a Law Degree from Deusto University and she is also a graduate of the IE Business School, Harvard Business School and Georgetown University.
In a key month for women, USEC had the honor of discussing a variety of issues with Yanire in this exclusive interview.
USEC participates in the 3rd Conference of Spanish Associations in the US and Puerto Rico
On March 16 and 17 , the US Spain Executives Community (USEC) participated in the 3rd Conference of Spanish Associations in the US and Puerto Rico, organized in New York City by the Employment and Social Security Office of the Embassy of Spain in the US.
The conference was opened by Mr Pedro Morenés, Ambassador of Spain to the US, Ms Petra Rodríguez, President of the Federation of Spanish Associations in the US (FAEUSA), Ms Lucía Ortiz, Counselor of Employment and Social Security in the US and Puerto Rico, and Ms Marina del Corral, Secretary General of Immigration and Emigration.
Representatives of the main associations participated in the conference and discussed a series of topics through several panels. Jose Miguel Sobrón acted as the representative of USEC, he has recently joined its board of directors.
USEC is grateful for the invitation to participate in this event and the support displayed by the Ambassador of Spain, as well as the rest of the members of the Embassy of Spain in the US.
